Disappointing Logics

The Purpose
The purpose of this series of paintings is communication - simply that. To communicate the exchange of what I see, bearing sembalance of significance - with the hopes of not being criticized that my work is "literal" or "common." And, I will not be pressured and 'go over the cliff' in avoiding anything "literal" or "common". I want to communicate. And most of all, I what to communicate what is communicated to me presently. The return flow from a person viewing my work would be the necessary contribution - and a sale would help pay the mortgage. This work is a contribution to those who view or hear or experience it. My meaning of 'contribution' regards 'adding to it'. And with this, hope to improve art and improve appreciation and focus on a few things uniquely beautiful. Things that are slipping away, that we haven't the ability to adequately replicate.

The subject of this series depicts the notes of the scale, thepages of a book. They are all the same are they no. The particulars of our existance...the differentness.
